At the age of 4, Oliver received early musical education, and at the age of 6, piano and ballet lessons. He first attended the Vienna Musical School before moving to the University of Music and Theater in Leipzig. He finished his studies there in 2004 as a qualified musical singer. Already during his training Oliver Polenz appeared in HAIR, WEST SIDE STORY, FAME and CITY OF ANGELS. Later he played Marius in LES MISERABLES (Landestheater Detmold), the Haushofmeister and cover Rettenberg in LUDWIG 2 (Füssen) and Descamisado in EVITA (Braunschweig Staatstheater). Then he embodied the boatswain in THE THREE MUSKETEERS at the Apollo Theater in Stuttgart. Oliver Polenz was in the role of Judas in JESUS ​​CHRIST SUPERSTAR at the Magdeburg Opera House directed by Matthias Brenner on stage. He was also part of the German-language premiere cast of "The Producers" as Sturmtruppenführer (tenor solo) at the Ronacher Theater in Vienna and at the Admiralspalast in Berlin. Finally, Oliver was seen as Joe Vegas in "Fame" at the Altenburg/Gera theater and as an office boy in "Secretaries" at the Hoftheater Dehnberg. He inspired at the "Theater der Altmark" in Stendal, at the Landestheater in Detmold and at the Burgfestspiele in Bad Vilbel as Paul/Hortensio in Kiss Me Kate and in Bad Vilbel also as Lothar in the revue "Longing for St. Pauli".
As Ari Leschnikow in Comedian Harmonists and Annas in Jesus Christ Superstar, Oliver Polenz was able to show off his tenor voice to the fullest at the Domfestspiele in Bad Gandersheim. He played "Lutz" in the musical Ludwig2 in the Festspielhaus Füssen, as well as Mr. Cratchit in "Vom Gheist der Weihnacht(Christmas)" in the Theater Nordhausen. Oliver embodied "Jack Russel" in Orient Express in Buchs/Switzerland and "Erich" in Comedian Harmonists at the Cologne Kammeroper and on tour, after he had already embodied this role in the summer of 2018 at the Schlossfestspiele Sondershausen (Theater Nordhausen). Most recently he played Falco in "Bed of Roses" at the Kammertheater in Karlsruhe and Oliver can currently be seen as Urbain in the operetta "Pariser Leben" at the Kiel Opera.
